To keep all the noses of Tailr, Induxx and the Smartyard IT team pointed in the same direction, we had to communicate efficiently and set a clear schedule.

Moreover, start-ups often want to implement as many good ideas as possible as quickly as possible. Therefore, we defined a clear list of must-haves, nice-to-haves and won't-haves beforehand. This kept us focused on the most important features and allowed us to work agile.

Finally, digitalisation in a conservative construction industry is a challenge in itself. Managers, employees and customers all have to learn to work with the new application. This requires extra conviction and training among all stakeholders.

The project started with a creative analysis of the concept to establish an initial scope. Thus, we defined two project phases:

In the first phase, Smartyard uses the application itself to communicate more efficiently with their suppliers.

In the next phase, we extend the platform with features that connect the renters and tenants with each other.

This project required a team effort of several experts.

Tailr was responsible for the delivery of the user interface (admin + end users) of Smartyard and Induxx delivered the PIM application that allows admins to manage the machine fleet of renters.
